An Update on Palm Island
We just returned from Palm Island. Yes I said we.
In the fall of 2008 I met someone on line and there was s super fit. Actually, I was giving radio interviews on this book and was asked to comment on online dating. I signed up on three sites - never really bothering to engage the process in any practical manner except half-heartedly. I had not dated anyone from the handful of possibilities. It became evident; if I never took any risk my life would remain status quo. It wasn't a bad life: a profession I loved, family and friends. What was missing: intimacy. What was fully present: a great deal of fear!
My self-talk helped me overcome my negativity.
I found:1.) you need to be ready to make life changes
2.) you need to be willing to make room for intimacy both psychologically and in sharing physical space
3.) you need to set a framework for dating on line. (There are several books availble on how to date)

Change that voice: "no one will ever love me because I am not worthy: to: "I am loveable". I will remodel what is keeping me from a life of meaning and being happy.
